I’m Soph, a visual artist from Melbourne, Australia, whose work blends traditional graphic design, illustration, and hand lettering with naive folk elements, creating highly decorative and uniquely bold pieces.

With a background in graphic design and advertising, my style can be characterised by tactile, graphic imagery and often features floral motifs, typography and elements of traditional printmaking techniques.

I’m also a whiz on the sewing machine and have a special knack for choosing perfectly ripe avocados.

What is your creative background?

After studying Visual Merchandising and Graphic Design, I spent 12 years working in various creative environments—from small branding agencies to packaging studios and large advertising agencies in my hometown of Melbourne. While I’ve always enjoyed design, I came to realise that my passion really lies in Illustration and crafting visual stories that are uniquely my own.

In 2023, during my parental leave and amidst the chaos of life with a small child, I took the leap to focus on illustration full-time.
